3rd Annual Polish Harvest Festival at the TK Club at 521 East Hector Street in Conshohocken: Sunday, September 30th, from Noon to 5 pm. This event will feature live Polka music from the Naturalistix Polka Band, delicious Polish food, a 50/50 drawing and other games of chance, a basket raffle, and baked goods for sale. Families are welcome, as there will be games for children with plenty of prizes!  All the money raised by St. Mary Polish American Society will assist with the maintenance and upkeep costs for St. Mary’s Church as it begins its new life as an apostolate for the Fraternity of St. Peter. Admission is $10 in advance and $15 on the day of the event, children $7 each and free for children under the age of 6.   For tickets, please email stmaryconshy@gmail.com or call Dorothy Swedkowski at 610-630-0861.

Academic Activities, Open Houses, and Scholarship Days

Dock STEM Camps: October 6 (2-4pm)Join others on the high school campus of Dock Mennonite Academy on Saturday, October 6 (2 – 4 p.m.) for over 15 hands-on STEM stations for children in kindergarten through 8th grade.  Activities include robotics, drones, chemistry, electronic circuit design, 3-D printers, problem solving, Bubbleology and more!  All of these events are free!  Please visit www.dock.org to RSVP or 215-362-2675. 

Dock Mennonite Academy Grades 9-12 Open House: October 6 from 12:30-3:00 pm1000 Forty Foot Road, Lansdale.Tour our spectacular campus, meet faculty and staff, learn about academics, athletics, art, and other amazing opportunities. Complimentary lunch for all families. 

Saint Basil Academy Open House and Testing Dates: Saint Basil Academy will host an Open House on Sunday, October 7 from 12-3 PM.  Register online at https://www.stbasilacademy.org/admissions/The Entrance/Scholarship Exam will be given on Saturday, October 20 and Saturday, October 27, from 8am-12 pm. Lansdale Catholic SAT Prep Programs:-Lansdale Catholic and Dr. Richard Fuller’s SAT program is the most comprehensive SAT course in the area. We offer 35 hours of training and a ratio of 8 students to one teacher in mathematics to ensure the most comprehensive educational environment your child will experience. Lansdale Catholic Fall Open House – LC will host their Fall Open House on Thursday, November 8 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  Families of 6th, 7th and 8th graders are cordially invited to join us on that evening and meet with coaches, moderators, faculty and administrators. 

Mount Saint Joseph Academy Open House: October 21 from 12 – 3:00 Girls in 6th, 7th and 8th grade are invited to attend with their parents to explore the innovative programs and spaces at the Mount.  Register at www.msjacad.org Beginning on September 5th, eighth grade girls can register for a full day visit to the Mount. The Scholarship/Entrance exam will be on Saturday, November 3rd from 8:00 – 12:00.


IHM Sisters Oktoberfest: Saturday, October 6 from 10 am – 3 pm on the grounds of Camilla  Hall, located in Immaculata, PAJoin us for a fun-filled day of delicious food, crafts, children’s games, white elephant flea market, and entertainment.  Proceeds benefit  Camilla  Hall Nursing Home for the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM).


Souderton Adult Day Care Center: Catholic Housing and Community Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is proud to provide high quality, compassionate care for frail seniors in this community.  Our services include: nursing services, assistance with medication management, activities focused on cognitive, social, sensory & physical needs, full noontime meal and afternoon snacks, gentle physical exercise, individualized care planning and family support group. Souderton Adult Day Care provides much-needed respite for caregivers while providing individualized care for their loved ones in a home-like environment. Souderton Adult Day Care Center is located at 228 Ridge Avenue in Souderton.

St. Ignatius Spiritual Exercises – Retreat in Daily Life: Beginning in October 2018, Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Parish will offer the opportunity to undertake the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola through daily personal prayer and a weekly small group sharing (3-5 persons), referred to as the Retreat in Daily Life, the 30-day retreat held over 30 weeks.  If you think you might be interested, and/or if you have any questions, contact Beth Ann Rufo (bethannrufo@gmail.com or Cell: 954-224-8989).  


First Thursday Breakfast Club: The Breakfast Club is held on designated First Thursdays of the year at Saint Maria Goretti Parish and provides a way for people to gather together in friendship following their time spent together in worship and prayer.  Coffee, tea, juice, and nutritious breakfast refreshments are served along with lots of laughter and conversation.  There is no cost to participate in the and no registration is required.  Non-parishioners are always welcome.  Next Breakfast Club: Thursdays, October 4 in the Saint Maria Goretti Church Narthex, following the 8:30am Mass. St. Timothy 90th Anniversary Celebration: Saint Timothy Parish in Mayfair, Philadelphia, rich in a vibrant heritage and strong tradition, has been commemorating the 90th anniversary of its founding. The closing of our 90th anniversary observance will take place on Sunday, October 14, with a Solemn Concelebrated Mass celebrated at 12:00 noon in the upper church. A gala 90th anniversary banquet will follow. Archdiocesan Catholic Women’s Conference: Saturday, October 27, 9am-4pm. Join us for a day of friendship, prayer and growth in your faith at the 2018 Catholic Women’s Conference to be held at  the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, Doylestown. This year’s theme is “Daughters of the King” and the day will be devoted to helping women discover their foundational identify as daughters of the King of Heaven and Earth.  Talks will be offered in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language.
