Presence—The Mystery of the Eucharist: This three-part series explores the radical mystery of God’s love expressed in the Eucharist and shows how God is really present in this sacrament to help and strengthen us at every step of life’s journey. By diving into the story of God’s love for his people in Scripture and the Church’s teaching on this sacrament, this study invites each of us into a deeper, more intimate union with God and reminds us that God’s love is never far away. Each session includes breakfast refreshments, a 30 to 40 minute DVD presentation, and a brief time of discussion. Please join us for all the sessions or for as many sessions as you would like. Novena of Prayer to St. Peregrine for Healing: Corpus Christi Parish’s Annual Nine Week Novena of Prayer for Healing to St. Peregrine, Patron Saint of Cancer Patients, begins every Wednesday evening, starting from February 27 through April 24 at 6:30pm in the chapel. The Novena will immediately follow Benediction which begins at 6:30pm.
Mass of Anointing of the Sick:On Wednesday, April 24, the closing night of the Novena, there will be a Mass of Anointing of the Sick following the Novena; the Novena will be at 6:30pm. with Mass at 7:30pm in the Church. A Perfect Gift of Love: Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend: April 12-14. Designed to help married couples communicate more intimately with one another in order to deepen and enrich their relationship, this weekend is free from everyday routines, distractions, and tensions. An atmosphere is created where the couple is able to concentrate exclusively on each other in a private, confidential environment.
A series of presentations that touch on many aspects of marriage are given by three couples and a Catholic priest. After each presentation, the couple has time in the privacy of their own room for personal sharing using communication techniques taught on the weekend. There are no “group discussions”. First Thursday Breakfast Club: The Breakfast Club is held on designated First Thursdays of the year at Saint Maria Goretti Parish and provides a way for people to gather together in friendship following their time spent together in worship and prayer. Coffee, tea, juice, and nutritious breakfast refreshments are served along with lots of laughter and conversation. There is no cost to participate in the and no registration is required.
