AFIRE~ Active Faith Implementing Relief in the Epidemic
AFIRE is a faith-based movement designed to bring education, healing, hope, resources, advocacy and transformational action to families and communities struggling with addiction.
- We believe in the dignity of every human person as a child of God.
- We seek to be a compassionate presence to the suffering.
- We strive to be a voice for the voiceless and to bring hope to the hopeless.
- We act to bring light into the darkness.
St. Stanislaus started a local chapter in June of 2022. There is strength in numbers. We invite parishioners to join with us to help provide relief in the epidemic of addiction. We meet on the first Thursday of every month at 7pm to pray the rosary for those suffering from addiction and for the family and friends of those afflicted with addiction.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE: a spiritually based support group for those effected by the epidemic of addiction. We meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7pm in the parish center.
