Altar Servers Wanted
Any St. Stanislaus student-parishioner in 5th grade or above who has received First Holy Communion is invited to consider becoming an altar server at St. Stanislaus Parish. Serving at the altar is a great way for a young person to grow in faith and serve his or her parish community. Please pick up a registration form at the front desk of the parish center and return it to Fr. Forlano by Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Two training sessions will be required before serving. The first session will be offered Thursday, October 6 from 7 to 8 pm OR Saturday, October 8, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. The second session will be offered Thursday, October 13, from 7 to 8 pm OR Saturday, October 15, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Mater Dei students will be trained in two afternoon periods during the school day. After being trained, new servers will be incorporated into the next schedule which begins in mid-October. All current servers are asked to also indicate when they will take one “refresher” session offered on both Saturday, October 8 and Saturday, October 15 from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Mater Dei students will receive a refresher training during school hours.
If you have any questions please contact Father Forlano at 215.855.3133 ext. 111 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Adult Altar Servers
There are times, particularly during the mornings of weekdays, when it has been difficult to find young altar servers for the funerals or other special occasions in the parish. If anyone has the availability to help and is interested in being trained as an adult altar server, please contact the Front Desk at the Parish Center, 215.855.3133, and leave your name and contact number with the receptionist. Thank you for considering this parish service opportunity!
Our young people in grades 5 to 8 in St. Stanislaus Parish School or PREP program are invited to serve in this ministry. Contact Father Philip Forlano at the Parish Center, 215.855.3133.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered at the 11 am Mass Sundays September through June. At this Mass, the Celebrant will ask all children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade who wish to hear the week’s Readings and an age-appropriate homily to accompany a Children’s Catechist. The catechist, escorts and children will leave the Church and move to the Parish Center for this special program. The children will be brought back to Church after the priest’s homily and rejoin the congregation at the beginning of the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Children’s Liturgy of the Word offers the children a deeper appreciation for the Mass and God’s Word. For further information about this program, please contact Maureen Fillenwarth at the Parish Center.
Many musical opportunities exist at St. Stanislaus, and there is always room for more musicians and singers, including cantors. Please visit the “Music Ministry” tab on the home page for all the details.
