2014 March for Life, Washington, DC
The March for Life will be held this year on Wednesday, January 22. The bus will depart from the Church parking lot at 5:30 am so that we are able to attend the Archdiocesan Mass at the Shrine in DC at 10 am. Arrival time back at Church is about 9:30 pm. Sister Barbara will lead a day long retreat at the Shrine in DC for those who would prefer to stay indoors. The cost is $35 and includes the bus, Metro pass and dinner. Families are welcome. This is a very uplifting experience for all who attend. Contact Fran Mordell at the Parish Center, 215.855.3133 to make your reservation. Checks payable to the St. Stanislaus Respect Life Group. Also, for those who are unable to attend but who would like to cover the cost for someone else, donations are welcome.

There is Mass in sign language on the fourth Sunday of the month at 11:00 a.m. in the Parish Center Chapel, and an interpreter at the 9 am Mass on the first, second and third Sundays of the month at Saint Stanislaus Church. Our Sunday Mass is interpreted thanks to our parish volunteers.
The Bereavement Ministry occasionally offers an 8-week support group for anyone who is grieving the death of a loved one. The program offers information about the grief process and gives an opportunity to share thoughts and feelings in an understanding setting. For more information, please call Maureen Fillenwarth at the Parish Center, 215.855.3133.
Food donations are collected at Sunday Mass and distributed once a month. For more information, or assistance, or if you can help, please call Sr. Barbara McGahan at the Parish Center or the Social Ministry Office at 215.368.1670.
The Garden Group meets every Wednesday morning, weather permitting, at 8:45 am from Easter through Halloween to tend the grounds around the Church. (Flowers only; no lawn care.) The Garden Group has won several awards from both the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and area gardening associations. Our goal is to make the Church grounds beautiful and to attract people in our community to St. Stanislaus Church.
This group meets at 7 pm in the Parish Center kitchen on the first and third Tuesday of each month, all year.
This committee prepares and packages meals for those who are homebound, recently hospitalized or just need a hot, hearty meal. You contribute your portion by cooking an entree or side dish of your choice, or purchasing a food item. The volunteer commitment is 1 to 2 hours per month.
