On Wednesday, October 9, we will pray a Living Rosary in the Church. In order to be seated, please plan to arrive no later than 7 pm; we will begin our prayer promptly at 7:15 pm. Anyone interested in participating, or looking for more information, is asked to contact Maureen Fillenwarth at the Parish Center.
Charismatic Prayer Group
This group meets at 7 pm on the 4th Tuesday of the month, September through June. We gather to praise the Lord, using the gifts He’s given us. We sing, praise and pray for the Church, our nation, and our own needs. Frequently after our meetings we will pray over individuals requesting that.
Forty Hours Devotion
The Forty Hours Devotion is the solemn exposition of the Blessed Sacrament extending over three days in honor of the forty hours the body of Christ is believed to have rested in the tomb. St. John Neumann, fourth bishop of Philadelphia, was the first to hold the devotion in America. At St. Stanislaus Parish, Forty Hours Devotion usually takes place around the feast day of our patron, St. Stanislaus Kostka, November 13. Forty Hours Devotion takes place in the Main Church and the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel is closed for that period of time.
Legion of Mary
This is an international organization for the sanctification of its members by prayer and cooperation in the work of the Church. The Legion of Mary meets on Thursday afternoons at 1:45 pm in the Parish Center.
Miraculous Medal Novena
Perpetual Novena in honor of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal every Saturday after the 8 am Mass in the Church. The Miraculous Medal was manifested to Saint Catherine Laboure in Paris, France, in the year 1830. Saint Catherine’s description of the apparition of Our Lady makes it clear that the medal originated with the Mother of God herself.
Mary Our Mother Prayer Group
Mothers unite weekly to pray the Holy Rosary. We dedicate our prayers for our children, their schools, our extended family, our friends and for the Catholic Church. We warmly welcome you to join us to pray. The gift of your time (45 minutes) will bless your children and grant you the peace of Christ. All you need is an open heart. All we need is you!
Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration takes place in the St. Katharine Drexel Adoration Chapel. For more information please see the separate tab “Perpetual Adoration” under the Devotions heading.
The prayer needs of our parishioners are shared with this group, who communicate via an email and phone chain to pray daily for the intentions specifically requested. To place someone on the prayer line, please call Pam Mohl at the Parish Center, 215.855.3133.
The Rosary is prayed after the 8 am daily Mass Monday through Friday.
